Legal Direct is a registered business owned and operated by Forbes Dowling Lawyers Pty Ltd. We specialises in providing current clients with a fast legal action service that is a cost effective process for the legal recovery of overdue debts.

How the Service Works

Legal Direct is presented online and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Firstly you will have to register as a client. This is a simple process that only takes a couple of minutes and you will set you own user name and password.

Once you are registered you will be able to:

1. Enter New Matters

- Entering details of the debtor and debt to be recovered
- Providing information that will assist with prompt recovery

2. Purchase Pre-Paid Credits

These are purchased on-line by credit card and discounts are offered for bulk purchases.
These credits are available for three years and can be used for:
- Requesting Legal Demand Letters with payment required within 24 hours, 7 days and 14 days
- Instructing Prompt Legal Action
- Instructing Entering Judgment
You will be advised of the credit  cost for each step in the legal recovery process and if you proceed, the cost is deducted from the total of the units credited to your original purchase.
If there are insufficient credits to complete a step, you will be invited to purchase further credits.

3. Manage Matters

 At any time, you are able to view a summary listing of your matters and see the current status.
You can also enter the details of payments and place matters on hold or cancel the matter.
Debtor contact details for new addresses and details of the debt for invoice numbers and dates of debt can also be amended.

All legal fees and costs will be subject to the Standard Costs Agreement which sets out details of how clients are charged for handling defences and instigating enforcement proceedings.
